Sarah Whitehead is a musical theatre actor known for her warm mezzo-soprano, floating upper register, strong belt, and her belief in the power of storytelling to move audiences. A Nashville native, she has a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Conservatory for the Performing Arts at Stephens College. She has performed regionally at Okoboji Summer Theatre and the Macklanburg Playhouse, with favorite roles including Rosemary in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Greta Ohlsson in Murder on the Orient Express, Abby in The Musical of Musicals, and Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
A versatile artist equally comfortable in contemporary and classic styles, Sarah thrives in roles that mix heart and humor. Her training includes acting through song with Craig Carnelia; acting with Lisa Brescia, John Hemphill, and Jenn Hemphill; vocal study with Nollie Moore and Audra Sergel; and dance with Chryssie Whitehead and Corey Wright. With extensive experience as both a dance captain and a swing, she’s known for meticulous preparation, quick adaptability, and a steady, supportive presence in any rehearsal room.
